On major infrastructure projects, the client (NS-RIB), puts a information centre near the construction site. These buildings are standing there during the construction phase (maximum of 5 years). They are used to explain the project and tour around the site with VIPs, engineers etc.. There is a small office, a presentation room and exhibition space in it.
In this case the site is the first Dutch drilled railway tunnel. Instead of laying down the usual containers, the idea was stacking them up. Not just like a cube but also in a more sculptural way so you get a terrace for free on the second level with great views over the landscape.
